Comprehensive Gymnasium is located at the core of the sports area on the north side of Haining International Campus of Zhejiang University. It covers an area of 9211.98 square meters and has a total construction area of 14,785.07 square meters. It contains an indoor standard swimming pool, a standard basketball hall and a comprehensive training hall consisting of badminton, squash and table tennis training rooms, etc. The building consists of a pavilion in the south and the other pavilion in the north. Such two parts are connected with a semi-outdoor tennis court covered with a steel-wood membrane structure and an outdoor spectator stand facing a 400-meter track and field on the east side. The three parts are combined into a small sports complex through large steps and large platforms.

Just as the process of growing trees requires good soil, so the process of growing culture requires a strong foundation of collective memories of the city. Growing Up captures everyday elements fundamental to Hong Kong, embedding and cultivating them within the fabric of soon-to-be major arts and cultural center. A large sloped roof is supported by a series of timber columns that, like the seedlings in the adjacent nursery park, grow from an intimate human scale to the harbor scale. A stepped landscape below, reminiscent of the city’s hilly topography, provides both seating and stage for different activities.
As a French patisserie, the owner came up with a mystical name called A.Mono (Arrival to Mono), ‘mono’ originated from a Japanese aesthetic theory (Mono-ha), which emphasize the relationship between one object to another. Applying this theory onto this building, human can be considered as one of the ‘object’, same to nature, therefore the relationship between human, object and nature, these three elements become the foundation of the design.
The surface of the architecture utilized high-fiber concrete from France, in addition, to wind tunnel type of parametric design. This is the first domestic architecture which uses such technology and has been known as the top ten transparent architectural exteriors in the world.
The new Beijing office of media company CWITM is located in an old textile factory in a creative compound. Space is divided into two sections by a longitudinal industrial shed roof with skylight. Due to the high ceiling, the floor space was extended with mezzanine before the new intervention. White surfaces and semi-transparent polycarbonate panels alternate as main materials for cladding the spaces defined by the mezzanines. As a counterbalance, colored MDF elements insert strong color accents in the neutral space.
The project is located at Caochang North Lane, adjacent to the Bell and Drum Tower. Before the renovation, it was a Hutong homestay about to be abandoned, with 7 rooms of different styles and a slightly busy courtyard. With a very limited renovation budget, the architects proposed a strategy of “micro-intervention”, trying to realize the renewal of the quadrangle courtyard with a smaller action and a lower cost.
The project is located in Changzhou which has been one of the major towns in Jiangnan (the south of the Yangtze River) since ancient times. It maintains people’s hope for life and spiritual relations to Jiangnan-style architecture. Two major limitations can be found in this design.
As one of the world’s largest inland city of mountains and rivers, Chongqing is a city full of surprises and wonderful and charming corners. Since ancient times, its landscape and numerous historical sites have attracted many ancient writers and calligraphers. Until today, Chongqing is still a city of attraction to everyone.
