Mingde Academy is in the sense of the current education system an experimental school, which was transformed from the original Honghua Dyeing Mill, an early example of industrialization of Shenzhen, China. Covering 8 hectares, the original factory is hidden in the valley of the Shenzhen’s east coast. Since the excavation of industries, the buildings in site have demonstrated a purified, unique architectural aesthetic with the passage of time.

The lollipop ideal garden has a different history from other works. It redefines the architecture. The overall renovation project of Fanzheng Restaurant and Tripsay Hotel is located in Yutian village, Shenzhen city which is at the intersection of modern prosperity and obsolescence. The new and old neighborhoods present the changes and connections of the city, bringing new propositions about urban renewal.

Chengdu Dachuan Lane, the west bank of Jinjiang River, the intersection of Dafuhe River and Nanhe River, a historical street linking Jinjiang Qingling Wharf and Chengdu East Gate City Wall Site, with a total length of more than 140 meters. Dachuan Lane before the renovation was a noisy and busy “courier street”. Due to its special history and geographic location, in the new round of urban renewal, Dachuan Lane has been given a new positioning and function-“urban art block”, which also created the block entrance art installation.

We as humans can take lots of inspirations from the natural scenario. During the design process of this project, we initially came up with the idea from a simple theory of the second rainbow, which is a phenomenon that is not often to see. Encouraged by the low-key, misty colour palette, we thought we could use its element into the interior, creating some kind of intimacy between people and colour. Through the invisible power of colours, we hope to achieve a goal of cultivating closer interactions along with opening a dialogue about an ideal way of living for urban-dwelling residents.
