Integral Office Building / Ronald Lu & Partners

Mission
Integral is located in the Jiumeiqiao District of Guilin in Guangxi Province. The total area of the first and second phases of the project stretch over a 511,800 square-metre site. The first phase was completed in 2019, and the entire project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. The development of Integral has been driven by Esquel, a leading textile and apparel manufacturer. Their vision was to change the traditional image of textile manufacturing being a “low-tech” processing industry by integrating conservation elements with the concept of “Industry 4.0” in a new, state-of-the-art specialty spinning and garment manufacturing plant located in a scenic natural area: Guilin, China. The facility is more than a manufacturing plant, it is an industrial eco-tourism park which embraces the fundamental concepts of Buddhism and which has sustainability elements woven into every aspect of its design.

Ningbo Hanvos School / DC Alliance

Project Brief
Ningbo Hanvos School is located in Zhenhai District, Ningbo. According to the general requirements of “internationalization, high quality and characteristic”, it is built as a new international boarding school with typical characteristic of internationalized education. The construction area is around 54000 ㎡, which covers all learning stages from primary school to high school. Due to the uncertain enrollment, this project adopts strategy of overall planning and phased implementation: the school is designed to accommodate 1200 students. The first phase is designed to hold 600 students with a construction area about 37000㎡; In terms of education architecture, the first phase contains international school teaching building, complex building, administrative office, school restaurant, international student dormitory and stadium, etc. The second phase includes gymnasium, international education center and additional dormitories.

J+ Art Space / V2GETHER design

The project is located in Suzhou,the overall reconstruction area of the building’s facade and interior is about 2000㎡, which is a multi-functional complex.Specifically, it can be divided into product exhibition area, office area, club experience reception and negotiation area.Before the reconstruction, the storefront is an ordinary old-fashioned single functional exhibition hall,and the first task is to build a brand-new store image and build an outstanding life art gallery for this brand.

R Society Store / 0321studio

RSociety is an independent floral expressionist with strong self-narrative characteristics. 0321 completed their teaching base in China last year. It is a comprehensive use field that integrates training and teaching, brand display, and floral retail. Rs hopes that the designed spatial appearance will demonstrate a brand-new Rs, which simultaneously show the diverse relationship between floral art and space better.

Xi’an Qujiang Art Center / gad

When living is no longer just living itself, but more related to city functions, life will become more diversified. Qujiangyin community complex, located in Qujiang New District of Xi’an city, runs through the thinking of urban design in its planning and design, breaks through the existing city grid, more completely interprets the breadth and depth of modern life, and blends community life and multiple modern scenes in the city scale from apartments, hotels, business, office to exhibition space. Qujiang Art Center, as the core space at Qujiangyin Block, symbolizes the modern Manifesto of community connecting the city.

The owner of the project is an elder who is nearly 70 years old. I have been in contact with me for a few years. Although I am much older, my understanding of new information and new knowledge is as active as our post-80s. And the understanding of design is also very professional. Because they have the same design values, he has entrusted us with this design in order to create the “interesting” building in his mind under the condition of new residential needs.

Shi-Feng-Shiang Taiwan Pastry / Soar Design Studio

Located at the corner of an old neighborhood, this old house creates an interesting contrast against the surrounding buildings. The client, Shi-Feng-Shiang1985, is a well-known bakery in Shalu with 35 years of history. The owner’s children, who now take care of the business, intend to pass down the value of tradition while implementing innovation for pastry-making.
