September 12, 2024 Hadir Al Koshta 0

On the « Three Mills» road in Sarzeau, one of them is now surrounded by new plantations: 6 hectares of vineyards. This mill, centrally located on the site, radiates like a lighthouse in the heart of the vineyards. With limited space available for construction, the winery project must be situated close to the mill. The municipality of Sarzeau aims, through this project, to achieve several objectives: to provide functional buildings to the winemakers, to ensure harmonious integration of the project with the surrounding environment of the mill, and to create a cultural space connected to agricultural activity.

Terrazza Biandrà Elevated Plaza / Park Associati

An elevated plaza, a discreet iconic place sharing the same material qualities with the surrounding historical environment – In the heart of Milan, in Piazza Cordusio, the restoration of the open space at the top of a building by Luca Beltrami commissioned by Countess Celeste Dario-Biandrà, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, generated an original place that slots into the built landscape of the nineteenth-century heart of the city. Made of specially designed triangle-cut handmade terracotta tiles of different shades of color, the flooring of this new space shares its material qualities with those of Milan’s roofs. Also covered in terracotta, the parapets create the impression of the building’s pitched roof curving and extending onto the terrace. This creates an elevated plaza with a mimetic appearance, to which the noble materiality of terracotta lends uniqueness and understated elegance.

In the new urban district of Belvédère in Bordeaux, we’re thrilled to unveil the finalized Facette. The design is Studioninedots’ response to the request for a place that fosters new ways of working and offers the flexibility, collaboration and diversity essential for today’s entrepreneurs. For at a time when work is increasingly untethered from specific times and places, the building’s true value lies in its innovative spaces for interaction. Facette boasts a sequence of distinctive collective spaces, leading users from the ground floor, along the facade to the roof terrace. These spaces drive the social community within the building. The building’s communal ambition and enticing, multi-purpose spaces set Facette apart as a building that fits today’s working needs.

Credo Pavilion / Fuse Arkitekter – NTNU

September 7, 2024 Hadir Al Koshta 0

Credo Pavilion is situated in the backyard of the former Michelin-star restaurant Credo in Trondheim, Norway. The restaurant was highly dedicated to sustainability, local resources and traditional techniques, and was the first restaurant in the world to be awarded the Michelin Guide’s Green Star for their sustainable practice. The project in Credo’s backyard seeks to create a more open and inclusive area for neighbors and visitors, both physically and visually. This vision includes transforming the outdoor seating area into a welcoming enclave, designed to function as both a dining space and a service area. With an emphasis on traditional craftsmanship, the objective was to showcase visible building elements and exposed structures, that align with the overall aesthetics and functionality of the area. The projects’ clear lines showcase a complex structure in its most straightforward and seamless expression. This construction effortlessly integrates into the previously empty backyard, while also providing space for the broader community and activities beyond the restaurant.
