Lopota Reception / Studio Gypsandconcrete

March 3, 2026 Hadir Al Koshta 0

Lopota Reception unfolds as a glass-bound threshold, where architecture dissolves into landscape and light moves freely through space. Transparency acts as a mediator, binding interior life to the surrounding nature and allowing the building to breathe with its environment. The design carries the memory of a former rose plantation once rooted on this land. Its spirit is subtly preserved through rosewood veneer grains that trace the walls and custom-made furniture, while softly blushed copper surfaces wrap the space in warmth and quiet intimacy. These materials do not decorate; they remember.

Family Villa / Noue Studio

It proposes a measured and respectful interior intervention within the 1983 building, aiming to clarify the spatial organization and improve the fluidity of use; thus, the kitchen and the bedroom are swapped. From the entrance, an opening guides the eye and gradually reveals a perspective of the volumes within the living space.

Perched along the rugged coastline of Hermanus, Coastal Dwelling is conceived as an architecture anchored in geology and horizon. Set on a slender 15 x 40 meter site framed by mountain backdrop and southern ocean views, the project responds directly to its elemental context.

Aerotim Hangar / +kouple

March 1, 2026 Hadir Al Koshta 0

Impossible to describe Aerotim in one sentence. It is a team of unique athletes and creatives led by Timur Fatkullin. This collective is exceptionally skilled in aerobatics, freestyle motocross, and skydiving. Their true spirit of exploration has brought numerous awards and achievements, including Champions of the $1 Million GoPro Challenge (2020 and 2023), GoPro Awards recipients, and World Intermediate Aerobatics Champions (2019). Versatile in his projects, Timur Fatkullin navigates an intense schedule between launching a men’s jewellery collaboration with designer Valeriia Guzema and producing Aerotim’s first full-length film “Full Force”, telling the story of the Ukrainian Army Aviation. When Timur reached out with the idea of developing a hangar — a proper maintenance space for all SPORT aircraft and a meeting point for his crew — we accepted without hesitation. For a number of reasons, it proved to be one of the most interesting and demanding construction projects we have ever executed.

Bouscat Villa / Patrick Arotcharen Architecte

March 1, 2026 Hadir Al Koshta 0

Designed on a landlocked plot interwoven within an urban fabric composed of small houses, distinguished residences, and a few collective buildings, this single-family home proposes an approach to site occupation that departs from the usual concepts of either a mineral monolith set at the centre of the parcel or a frontage aligned directly with the street.

De Nova Secondary School / KPW architecten

February 28, 2026 Hadir Al Koshta 0

The new extension to the De Nova secondary school illustrates how architecture can embody innovative approaches to learning. The existing educational campus—comprising a kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school, alongside facilities for music and arts education—had evolved over decades. What began as a cluster of pavilions from the 1950s and 1960s, with further additions in the 1970s and 1980s, had become a fragmented ensemble lacking overall cohesion.

Rather Two Apartment / OMAMBO

February 28, 2026 Hadir Al Koshta 0

Rather Two, an intimate 80-square-meter apartment in Bucharest, is a home shaped as much by emotion and memory as by design. Realized by architects Anca and Kelvin, the project emerges from a reflection on two distinct yet equally influential cultures: Anca’s Romanian heritage, rooted in symbolism and lush landscapes, and Kelvin’s Angolan origins, shaped by rituals and earthy terrains. These cultural narratives became the guiding path for the apartment’s color palette, materiality, and spatial choreography.
