Tucuri is an area located in Nayón, in the city of Quito. A fascinating place for its microclimate, fauna, flora and a privileged view of the Cumbayá Valley. The carob trees are the endemic trees of the sector and are everywhere; attracting an infinity of birds, that with their song, make anyone feel part of nature, a few minutes from the city. It is precisely in this place, where the Tacuri House is implanted and for which, it gets its name.

The house is located within a privileged land with great views of the small mountains of the valley of Punilla. Located in a closed urbanization northwest of Cordoba in the town of Mendiolaza, has a rugged topography, with large differences which allowed us to play with two volumes that rest on each other and at the same time rest on the natural terrain and at times they are suspended in the air generating large overhangs that reinforce the idea of monolithic volumes. To achieve this we work with exposed concrete cast in situ, with phenolic formwork. This material is noble, classic, traditional and of low maintenance as well as the stone that was used to materialize the contentions of the terraforming and the basement of the house.

The project consists in creating an extension of an existing hermitage dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, located at the south of the Topochico Hill, just above the Croc locality in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

The house is located in the outskirts of the city of Oaxaca, a developing context, in the middle of changes in land use, where barely more than half are buildings; a combination between houses and large storage units.
