This weekend house is meant as a gathering and retreat place for a Gujarati family which is located in a posh western locality of the Ahmedabad. The design brief given by the owner was to develop the place more like a small resort.

The house designed for the Jonker family is located in a golf estate, east of Pretoria, South Africa. Built on one of the last open stands in an established part of the estate, it is next to a green belt surrounding the golf coarse, but is separated from it by a street. The odd-shaped site had a grove of existing soetdoring (accacia karroo) trees close to the street. This natural feature was retained and dictated the siting of the buildings; it was utilized to create a privacy barrier between house and street also but also to draw the natural landscape opposite the street into the site.

Eden Locke is a 72 room hotel with a cafe and bar on the ground floor that we designed in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh. The project was a complete gut renovation and comprehensive fit out of an existing hybridized structure. We took an 18th Century Georgian mansion and its 20th Century extension down to their respective bones and created the hotel from there.  

In the middle of the path where the North and the Black Sea meet, at the 1,794 km mark of the Danube River and the Mosoni-Danube Estuary between Győr and Gönyű, along highway 1, the Győr-Gönyű National Public Port was constructed, serving as a freight logistics centre.

House Spaak is an exceptional building project where historical and modern wooden architecture combines. New terraced house comprises an idyllic entirety with Konstaapeli Spaak’s log house which was erected around 1730. Designed by AVARRUS Architects, these terraced apartments have a solid wood frame and natural ventilation. Whereas Spaak’s log-frame house was renovated with piety into sauna and workshops for the residents.

Clean lines and angled geometry dictates the design for this 1500 sq.mt. bungalow at Ahmedabad. The architectural vocabulary integrates the principals of modernism with traditional responses to the local geography and climate.

ICF La Sablière owns the Fulton block, located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, on the banks of the Seine. The existing real estate complex known as “Fulton” was built in the 1950s by architect Daniel Michelin and is occupied by 133 dwellings. The site benefits from a very beautiful location, clear, in front of the seine, near the bridge of Bercy in the East and the museum of fashion and design at the West, a contemporary building realized by the architects Jakob + Macfarlane.

Following its transformation into a visitors’ restaurant, Heidelberg Castle’s historical Sattelkammer (tack room) can once again be experienced in its original dimensions. Max Dudler has restored the space to its original size and created a reception area worthy of the castle. The ceremonial opening took place on 18 April 2017.
