The Casa S2 has been designed as a summer residence for a couple with two children. It is a detached construction limited to one floor in compliance with the local urban planning regulations. Another starting condition is to respect the integrity of the pre-existing trees that are part of an extensive pine forest that already existed before the urbanization of the area. It is located in the “Els Emperadors” sector in the municipality of l’Escala, province of Girona.

The refurbishment of Huentitán Natural Park involved the recovery of a significant open area to the North of the Municipality of Guadalajara for community use, endowed with a valuable guamúchile forest and views of the imposing Barranca de Huentitán.

The architectural object directs its presence towards the street. It accommodates itself to the place, it looks for a natural order, as if it belonged to it. It avoids standing out and seeks silence.

Coyan Refuge is located in a tall and dense ancient endemic forest within Malalcahuello in a mountainous area of the Araucania region, in the southern lands of Chile.

A two-storey house fit between two canopies. This is the answer to the common conflict between a desire – to enjoy the spatial attributes of a detached house – and planning – small plots with the minimal 3m separation to the property line. The possibility of installing lightweight features in the non-buildable area is the loophole in the ordinance that will be the engine driving this project.

Orientation-Territory. The house is located on a flat plot with an open and lush landscape. It is located so that its widest view is in front of a pre-existing natural water reservoir. This decision creates the difficulty of opening the sights to the south. That is why the large roof that covers most of the spaces, has a strong inclination generating a double-height towards the north to guarantee a better solar incidence and a minimum height towards the south, framing the landscape.

The house is located on the shore of Lake Los Molinos in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. The site, gently sloping towards the lake, is characterized by a treeless clearing within a dense eucalyptus forest. There is where it is decided to position the house so as not to affect the existing grove.

A sculptor’s haven, hiding traces of her love for objects in raw space. Pallares House and Studio is the result of a work inspired by the materiality of Edna Pallares sculptures combined with the necessity to bring adequate light into the different spaces. Composed of three volumes separated each by a courtyard, the project intends to have a surprising spatial sequence, at the time, the limits that contain the space, are rough and allow an introspective feeling, where solemnity is essential for the production of Edna´s work.
