The site is located in a rich environment with a rural landscape. Ruins of Osawa Castle and other ruins are scattered in the surrounding area, and people with the same family name continue to live in the village. Located in a mountain valley, a waterway flows in front of the house. There is a legend that a lake spread out in this area in ancient times. It is a strange and satisfying landscape, and in this project, we imagined an architecture that would mark a new time in this place that has a history of forming satoyama while fighting and cohabiting with nature.

The Chengdu Natural History Museum (The Museum of Chengdu University of Technology) presents a celebration of Chengdu’s historical legacy and modern ethos, transforming the city’s skyline and symbolizing its energy and innovative spirit. The project successfully synthesizes the historical culture and context of Chengdu as it delves into the soul of the local elements “Shu Mountain, Shu Road, Shu Water”. The building massing was inspired by the geological mountain forms created by the shifting of ancient tectonic plates of the Chengdu region. The volumes reflect the rock breaking apart and shifting with the horizontal and vertical forces.

In partnership with property developer Little Projects and builder Cobild, leading Australasian architecture practice Plus Architecture has delivered one of Australia’s most cutting-edge designs for a residential project – leveraging computational and engineering technology to realize the vision for a complex angular tiled façade. Located at 17-22 Grattan Street, the Viridi apartments are a new visual landmark in the heart of Prahran, Melbourne, characterized by a wide-pitched, ‘hill-like’ roof, cladded in a mosaic-like tessellation of over 15,000 terracotta roof tiles glazed in shades of lush green.

A large window was made on the street side to allow light and air to pass through, while a closed area was created to protect the couple’s privacy from each other, and a tunnel-like open space was created to connect to the city.

Located on a former industrial complex, the Worcester Blackstone Visitor Center narrates a history without the use of historic artifacts. When a fire burned down the last remaining structure of the once-sprawling steel mill on the site, the land was cleared and planning began for a new, purpose-built visitors center to celebrate the history of the site and the surrounding community.
