Chwihoga House / 100A associates

The Temple of Tiger for Recovery, Chwihoga – I have read an article, ‘There is only one place among the infinite points on the earth. Therefore, places have the power to make architecture special’. Most of my own work styles are started with the previously cited article, ‘Places have the power to make architecture special.’ My heart for the land (a specific place) before the construction of Chwihoga was a distant silence, it was the tranquility of silence and no-causality of being stored something that will unexpectedly overthrow my mind and body. My deep impression of the site might be a human response to the ‘vitality of place’ carved deep into the ground, regardless of how much it’s washed.

Beatrix Park Playground / Carve

October 9, 2022 Andreas Luco 0

Beatrix Park is one of Amsterdam’s oldest modern city parks. The oldest part of the park, designed by Jacoba Mulder, was built in 1938 and is characteristic of the transition from the romantic style of the 19th century to the more functionalist style of the post-WWII era. The Beatrixpark is part of the Amsterdam Zuidas area, a district strategically situated between the city center and Schiphol Airport. In the present day, the park is wedged in between Ring Road A10, Beethoven Street on the west side, and the RAI Convention Center on the eastern side.

Manduca Market / Hitzig Militello Arquitectos

October 9, 2022 Andreas Luco 0

The Paseo la Plaza has always captivated us locals for its enigmatic urban space, whose language empathizes with the collective imaginary of the heterogeneous nature of a city, especially one like Buenos Aires. As its name suggests, the prevailing emptiness, air, and vegetation literally illustrate the identity of the square.  Its alleys of cobblestones surround the theaters and each building has an identity that clearly emulates an old village. It is in this unique attribute so valued by the consumer that we analyze how we can integrate a new identity. An identity that should keep “Paseo la Plaza: The Square” as the main protagonist and “Manduca Market” as its necessarily integrated market.
