The Center for Early Childhood Education and Care (nursery school) aims to achieve the principles of engaging “naturally with nature”. Located at the end of a winding pathway atop of a sand dune, this single-story wooden building provides a diverse base for children filled with characterful rooms and recesses. The “construction of a large childcare environment” that extends beyond the nursery rooms, the building, and the nursery yard to the surrounding area as a single continuum, and the “establishment of a mutually watchful relationship” in which the whole village is a part of there for the children’s learning and play, and while the children revitalize the village. That is what was aimed for.

The international inquiry-learning farmhouse forest of Longma Village, Baodun Town, Xinjin District, Chengdu is located next to Xinpu City Expressway, on the Baodun Tourist Route, and adjacent to Baodun Ancient City Site. There are 50 households and 300 local people, covering an area of more than 140 mu. Our project is located not far from the entrance of the farmhouse forest, where villagers go in and out every day.

The house is located on a plot of land with a steep slope, in the Barranco de Soterraña, a natural water course, near Valencia. We developed an idea of an industrialized, fragmented, and unplugged house, integrating passive systems and self-generation of energy.

This project involves creating an extension of an artist studio for a famous Moroccan painter Mr. Abdelkebbir Rabi’. The project takes place in the old colonial center of Casablanca, close to the city’s biggest public park and the splendid “sacré coeur” church. Mr. Rabi’ used to work with bi-chromatic drawing or painting, he trades between figurative and abstractive representation. As all his work revolves around shadows and light, his only request was about natural light, and natural materials with a neutral atmosphere that will don’t disturb him at work.
