The project is a residence/restaurant for a French restaurant owner. He is an old friend of mine, and he was the one who commissioned the Tables for a Restaurant. I was asked to design a building as “heavy” as possible. “I want an architecture whose heaviness would increase with time,” he said. “It cannot be artificially smooth but rather something with the roughness of nature. Authentic cuisines require such a place.” He also told me that “it has to look as if it has been there and will continue to be there for the longest time.” His idea was to create a brand-new long-established restaurant. He was longing for something that is both a house and a restaurant, something he could pass on to his children and grandchildren. Now, he invites guests to the restaurant as he would invite friends to his house, and with someone special, he would let them into the living room or even stay overnight. When the restaurant is closed, the hall serves as a place for the family to spend time or for the children to study. The plan is arranged with the restaurant on the north and the residence on the south. To go back and forth between the spaces, they can walk through any one of the three courtyards that separate them.

La Vecindad Santos Dumont housing building is located on a double lot in the center of the block in the neighborhood of Chacarita, Buenos Aires. It is a residential building with a wide variety of typologies and large private and common outdoor spaces that, together with section strategies, resolve and define the use of the complex.
Av. Beira Mar is the main tourist area of the city of Fortaleza and is considered its main postcard. Recently, this waterfront has undergone a process of urban and architectural reorganization where, in this context, an old track was removed and a new, more modern, and the updated track was created for skateboarding. Skateboarding is a sport on the rise in Brazil and has great athletes who stand out on the international scene. In Ealing, this two-bedroom home is stitched assertively into the street scenography. The former garage site bounded by rear gardens created a series of constraints yet consequently generated an articulated series of volumes when read with the whole street.
Residents of Warsaw can now enjoy a new public space in the center of Warsaw. Before, it was a busy junction not at all resident-friendly. Now, a square has been created there, with 22 maples, urban furniture, and pedestrian priority. WXCA is responsible for the design. This fragment of the city has been one of the busiest places in the capital for over 100 years. Since the 1960s, mostly vehicle traffic encroached into this space, slowly pushing pedestrians out, although they still constituted a significant portion of those traveling through it. This space recently underwent a spectacular metamorphosis and a pedestrian priority urban square with mature trees and modern small architecture elements was designed here. Vehicle traffic has been reduced to public transport and it has resident and fire service access only. “Most of all, we wanted to hand this part of the city over to the residents,” the architects at WXCA explained.
