Five Shadows, located on a prime site at the base of the Teton Mountain Range, belies the density of the surrounding area. Sited at the western boundary of development, the project lives on the fringes of a meadow near an aspen and conifer forest that cascades down from the summit of Rendezvous Peak. Slightly elevated above neighbors, the compound imparts a feeling of privacy, screens nearby buildings through structural orientation and strategic window placement, and takes in broad views across the valley to the Gros Ventre Range.

The house located on the coast of the state of Bahia has 831.22m² of built area on a plot of 3,288m². Presented with the challenge of designing a group of 3 houses in the Yungas in Tucumán, a common logic was sought as a response to the landscape and the particular conditions of each house. 3 pieces – all white, stripped-down, regular, grounded – are percolated to let the landscape in generating new relationships. The white walls act as a canvas against the green landscape in which the trees cast their shadows.

Few structures are as elegant and ingenious as greenhouses. Largely built with simple and straightforward designs, these minimalist shelters create airy and light-filled spaces that shape indoor climate. Dedicated to the cultivation of plants and crops, they are diverse projects combining programs and systems to emphasize sustainability, education and conservation. At their heart, greenhouses are about experience and discovery.

The land is in the city of Concarneau and faces south/southwest, allowing significant passive solar gain. It has a row of trees to the south that has been preserved to provide a “filter” of plants from the street.
