The diversity of civic spaces in cities and rural areas have continuously showcased how strongly they explore human connections regardless of program, construction technique, scale, and geography. Ranging from educational facilities and museums, to art centers, libraries, religious halls, and memorials, these projects have enriched urban fabrics with cultural programs that have provided members of the community with places to learn, entertain, create, and unwind.

La Pradería is located in the rural territory of ​​Babahoyo City with a population of approximately 17,985 inhabitants, where the absence of sports facilities is not enough; its infrastructure barely covers basic needs and complementary spaces are almost never provided. Coined around concepts of biodynamic food production, freely grazing animals, and farm to table, Åstrup Have evokes the region’s vernacular building tradition and inquisitively reinterprets the traditional Danish farmhouse.
