The site is directly adjacent to Sydney Harbour and a private beach. There is a dramatic change in level from street to lowest level, through a narrow panhandle, with exaggerated slot harbour views. This astonishing sea-level connection to the beach is bracketed by beautiful landscaping, fig trees and jetties. The arc of the small coved beach is centered on the site.

Hof Wendenius Guesthouse / Marc Flick Architekt BDA

The dilapidated three-sided courtyard, consisting of four buildings formerly used as a residential house, workshop with a pigsty, barn, and remise, is located in rural Hainau. It was built by its namesake Wendenius at the end of the 18th century. The concept for the ensemble was quickly determined, the buildings were brought back to life through extensive renovation and converted into a holiday home with an event barn.

Ring House / Delution

Ring House is a house with a concept that started from the client’s desire to accommodate the hobby of playing basketball for father and son. Located in middle-class housing cluster in the Serpong sub-district of the Indonesian Capital, which measuring just 8×16 square meters. On this small land, client can still have a basketball area. The architect then expanded this become the main concept design, where the basketball area becomes the point of interest and communal area.

The inhabitants are a family of a mother, two children and two cats. We created the project on a small landlocked plot of land surrounded by buildings for a family to live there with cats. This is not the first human-plus-animal home project, but it was the first time a project has focused on cats.
