Rehabilitation project of old carpentry, in the heart of the Historic Center of Oeiras, a small town near Lisbon, Portugal. The volume of the old carpentry was the starting point for the entire project. We intended to preserve its volume and its gable roof, perfectly integrated into the urban imaginary of this town.

A bold colour palette of red and green enlivens a new daycare centre in Stuttgart that has been built on top of an abandoned air-raid shelter. Designed by local practice Birk Heilmeyer und Frenzel Architekten for daycare provider KiTa Parkstrasse, the two-storey building sits in a residential area close to the Park Villa Berg. It

Bamboo-framed majlis installed at Venice Architecture Biennale as model of nomadic architecture

The Majlis at Venice Architecture Biennale

Architects Simón Vélez and Stefana Simic have worked with craftspeople from Colombia, Morocco and Italy to create The Majlis, which recreates a traditional Islamic gathering space from bamboo and handwoven textiles. The structure is installed in the gardens of the Abbazia di San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice for the 2021 edition of the Venice Architecture Biennale.
