CITY OASIS is a serviced apartment redesigned and rebuilt from an old building with 27 rooms varying in size (24 – 45 m2). The building is located on a 330 – meter – square site, in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City.

Already a country with severe economic and social challenges, recovering from over a decade of civil war, the Ebola epidemic has been yet a further blow to its development and growth. Yet, for one community in the country’s eastern province, the opening of the new Swawou School for Girls offers hope and inspiration to a remarkable group of young women.

In the design background of the above concepts, our technology focuses on pure rational physical construction such as rationalization of material organization and setting, function construction, optimization of spatial dynamic line, closure of materials and structure, passive energy conservation of buildings, etc.

CPDA incorporates “secret garden” into Mexico City apartment building
Mexican firm CPDA Arquitectos has completed a residential building that features a stone-clad exterior and a lush courtyard that is not visible from the street. The project, called Casa Jardin Escandón, is located in Mexico City’s Escandón neighbourhood. The area has experienced growth in recent years, with contemporary buildings cropping up alongside Art Deco-style structures.

The phrase “tiny home” or “tiny lot” tends to bring to mind properties with narrow frontages. In the densely developed districts of Osaka, this type of long, narrow property is common, and houses are often built so close together a person can’t even fit between them. However, in Osaka, building coverage area (BCA) and floor-area ratio (FAR) regulations are lenient, allowing for a relatively large percentage of a given property to be built up. By contrast, in the Shukugawa district of Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture (just west of Osaka), BCA is limited to 40 percent and FAR to 100 percent; height is also restricted.
