Mountain and Cloud Cabins by Wiki World and Advanced Architecture Lab

Chinese architecture studios Wiki World and Advanced Architecture Lab have designed an array of 18 timber cabins clad in mirrors for a hotel in Yichang, Hubei province. Scattered over the mountainside between the trees, each cabin is an individual hotel room, complemented by communal buildings that have a cafe and a swimming pool. Wiki World

KCC Design has completed the interior design for its own office in Shanghai, which features an exhibition space and 21 enclosed boxes for individual work in a subdued colour palette. The studio, which works in architecture and interior design as well as wayfinding, regional planning and lighting design, created the office in an old factory

Frei Pedro is a building of only about 40 square meters, which was composed in the past by 3 floors, which despite being in degraded shape, enjoy a very privileged location in the historic city centre of Guarda. The original building, from the end of the nineteenth century, is characteristic of a traditional urban con- struction, with its south front side facing a public space, and its north side opening to a tiny dark damp backyard shared with other buildings.

Fluctuating between the exceptional nature of the program and the urbanity of its outline, the agency has designed the 5th campus of the ICONES Group. The project contains a game-design school and a student’s residence of 219 units at the junction of the park, the “Rambla” and La Vilaine, which showcase the new landscape of the Baud-Chardonnet district of Rennes.
