March 2020 (Prague, Czech Republic) – The new pavilion designed by PAPUNDEKL architects invites visitors to the Prague Exhibition Grounds, an area that has recently reopened its gates to the public. The modular pavilion features an adjustable facade made of translucent fiberglass panels that can be modified according to different uses or changes in weather and light conditions. The pavilion lies within the Prague Exhibition Grounds, an area opened in 1891 which features cultural, sports and exhibition venues, designed in various architectural styles, including Art Nouveau and Functionalism.

From outside to inside, inside to outside – Required space programs are planned for each cube. And these cubes create the entirety of the space and architectural form. Once a cell is filled by either programs or building masses, other cell will be emptied. The design approach is this repetitive process of filling and emptying the cells. Main courtyard space penetrates the building vertically and horizontally. The space is harmonized with surrounding cubes, which has its own personality and unique function, and makes a relationship between inside and outside.
The Rastegar Property Company has announced plans to develop the tallest living wall in North America as part of a 26-story tower in Dallas. The building aims to improve local air quality with over 40,000 plants estimated to capture over 1,600 pounds of carbon dioxide and produce 1,200 pounds of oxygen annually. The development will be located across the street from the Union mixed-use complex.
