A neighbourhood icon with multiple programs – The Microlibrary Warak Kayu is the fifth built project within the Microlibrary series – an initiative to increase reading interest by creating socially-performative multi-functional community spaces with environmentally-conscious design and materials, which aim to serve low-income neighborhoods. Designed by SHAU and prefabricated by PT Kayu Lapis Indonesia, this project is a community, private sector and government collaboration– a gift from Arkatama Isvara Foundation to the City of Semarang. The microlibrary charges no entry fee and is run by Harvey Center – a locally-embedded charity group in Semarang – in coordination with the local government.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic affecting the entire world, the board of the Salone del Mobile. Milano has decided to postpone the 2020 edition of the annual fair until next year. The international event will, therefore, take place from the 13th to the 18th of April 2021.

Danish Architecture Center Launches New Design Podcast

The Danish Architecture Center (DAC) in Copenhagen has launched a free podcast series called Let’s Talk Architecture. The series is in English, with nine episodes available on iTunes and Spotify. Though the center is currently closed for the time being due to the world-wide coronavirus pandemic, the institution is still working to share knowledge about architecture, cities, engineering, and design with the public.

The question of how Artificial Intelligence will impact the cities of the future has also captured the imagination of architects and designers, and formed a central question to the 2019 Shenzhen Biennale, the world’s most visited architecture event.

It is an open and ﬂexible system that, through a process of adaptation, spatially overlaps its structure with the existing forest to deﬁne a new reality together with it.

Time is from 2017 to 2019. This review always brings some sense of ritual. This unique shape is like a lollipop. It is located in Yunnan. The lollipop ideal garden has a different history from other works. It redefines the architecture. As a vehicle for the teaching and cultural background of the school, half a year after the initial design was completed, the building began to be built in a location completely different from the original design environment.
