Edinburgh Pavilion is the full internal refurbishment and large contemporary extension of a Grade B listed Victorian villa in a Conservation Area in central Edinburgh. The existing property consists of a series of grand rooms with significant decorative features, arranged in a formal manner reflective of the time in which it was built.
Against the background of National Stadium in Beijing, 10 dwelling houses are established in a community called HOUSE VISION. Curated by Kenya Hara, it invites corporates, architectures and designers to work together to offer such life sized houses that would be manufactured in the future.
Khesht-Baf building located in west part of Tehran. The architecture of the building was handed over to the IMAGE ARCHITECTS when the construction of the skeleton and concrete was completed. Khesht-Baf 4 floors, two of which are underground and used for swimming pool, gym, parking lot, storage room and mechanical room. The first and second floors are residential units.
Inside this house, remodeled by Feldman Architecture, there is an overall warmth and coziness, with the wood ceiling helping to create a unified look for the large open room, that also features a custom-designed kitchen. Pia Nesensohn from Austria adopted Sri Lanka as her second home and found a 68 perch land with dense foliage opening out to ‘Madu Ganga’ to build her tropical villa. Set on a site sloping towards the river at its rear, this building follows a simple plan with a manipulation of cubic forms, rustic materials and the topography of the verdant green landscape. Madu ganga’, located in the southern province of Sri Lanka, is a bio diverse river ecosystem rich in mangrove flora and fauna. The tropical climate brings in seasonal heavy rain showers and alternating periods of sunshine with lighter showers through the rest of the year.
