New Office of Atelier Heimat / Atelier Heimat

The project is located in the cultural and creative park in the urban fringe outside the east Fifth Ring Road in Beijing, which used to be a chemical plant. Most of the buildings in the park are simple geometry in shape with large spacing. The thick walls surrounding the building are kept; only two short-direction reinforced concrete girders are left, whereas the roof is seriously damaged.

“Steps Create Good Communication” – Rebuild kindergarten and nursery project in Fukui, Japan. Mt. Asuwa surrounding this EZ Kindergarten and Nursery was known as the symbol of this town by local people. If children walk around this mountain, they can touch and feel nature itself closer and create plays with such a rich nature. By installing lots of actions which children can take in Mt. Asuwa into playing equipments inside, the normal nursery environment were improved.

As part of the larger urban fabric, public housing draws its strength and unique character from the dynamics that are set up with its surroundings. Through an extension of these relationships, we have formulated a rich matrix of shared spaces within the precinct to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of living that can be experienced only in the heartlands. The challenge lies in the unobtrusive integration of these common spaces and abolishing the negativity tied to the currently pervasive ‘NIMBY’ syndrome.

This project began with an e-mail and a meeting in fall of 2008 for a house in Yucca Valley, which is located near Palm Springs, east of Los Angeles in the high desert near the Joshua Tree National Park. We had completed two projects in Yucca Valley and occasionally received inquiries about projects in the desert.  In the midst of the economic downturn typically these inquiring led nowhere.  We had just had our second child and things were looking rather uncertain.

This exclusive drone footage shows the multi-purpose Hard Rock stadium in Florida, US, which is hosting the 54th Super Bowl game. The venue, which serves as a home for the Miami Dolphins, was designed by Populous‎ and HOK and features a shade canopy made from 15,400 tonnes (17,000 tons) of steel measuring roughly 58,000-square-metres (626,000-square-feet).

A 24 bed luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Botswana. The Okavango Delta is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the African continent. Since the original lodge was built seventeen years ago, it has been declared a world heritage site and in consequence a raft of wholly appropriate, but formidable restrictions have been imposed on building there.
