December 8, 2019 Andreas Luco 0

Located in a culturally noble area of São Paulo, the new address of the SIM + Simões de Assis gallery, opened in 2018, seeks to translate in its architecture the sensitivity / content of contemporary art. The Project consists of renovating the second floor and part of the ground floor of an old dress shop. The owner kept his business spot around the corner and rented the rest to the gallery. The structure of the building was reused, as well as the perforated corrugated sheet cladding, revitalized through a white electrostatic painting.

Educational Campus Berresgasse / PSLA ARCHITEKTEN

December 8, 2019 Daniel Tapia 0

The objective of the project is to maximize the spatial synergies both between the local area and the campus and within the campus itself. This will allow the new educational campus to position itself as a laboratory and a testing station for new educational practices – in a similar way to a kaleidoscope. The multifaceted, north-south oriented volume of the educational campus meanders across the site, creating three different and contrastingly treated external areas: a publically accessible, v-shaped forecourt, located on the street to the west, a richly planted area of open green space for the campus, and a third area that is dominated by the sports hall and the multipurpose hard court.

NVC House / Salworks

December 7, 2019 Andreas Luco 0

Giving a new chance to a ruined building whose roof had collapsed after a fire in the mid-90s of the past century was the starting point to designing this house. Singularly placed and out of scale, erected in a sort of no man’s land between high-traffic roads with different heights, a green wasteland, a commercial area, a sea view above the thick and disorganized agglomeration of houses bordered to the south by the Atlantic Ocean, and another one at the top of the mountain to the east with the city to the west, the intervention was necessarily large.
