Developed with attention to clients demand and within a multidisciplinary creative process always attentive to details, the GR House’s project intention to maximize the potential of the land, creating diversity of spaces and uses. It is a functional and very dynamic house, which attends to the most diverse situations of use, from the moment of greater introspection and privacy until the casual situation while receiving guests.

The intervention area of the project is located in the municipality of Rionegro, near the Cabeceras/San Nicolás highway. the lot has 76,017 m2 and presents very interesting natural characteristics that were fundamental when it came to the project. The diverse topography and the existing large trees are the determining elements for the distribution of the project on the lot, affecting it in every detail.

The plot geometry and its small size, 47m2, assume special importance in the typology and form of programmatic distribution. One program per floor: Floor 0 – studio, Floor 1 – Living and dining, Floor 2 – Sleeping area and Floor 3 – Rooftop. German architecture and design practice HPP Architekten have created a proposal for a hybrid timber office building along the Düsseldorf riverfront. Inspired by the circular economy and the Cradle to Cradle concept, the design for the project aims to show how architecture can become part of more sustainable cities. Working with developer INTERBODEN, the team plans to show how individual components can be recycled after use, non-recyclable materials minimized and CO2 emissions reduced.
