Located on the edge of an urbanization of the 60s, halfway between Carmona and Seville, the size of the plot (more than 4000 m2), its peripheral position and the absence of neighbors, make the physical space where the housing in something fully rural, empty of any urban or built reference. With these wickers, the implementation strategy resumes the invariance of Andalusian rural architecture, based on geometry and the creation of exterior spaces – central and secondary courtyards- around which the building is located.

Prismatic is a kaleidoscopic experience of light, color, and space defined by an aggregation of perspectives. Unique on all sides, the piece encourages the public to explore its exterior, as well as meander through its translucent corridors. Iridescent rope weaves between a lattice of rebar, while the gaps between these cords provides transparency and results in a dynamic visual effect known as a moiré. As visitors turn their gaze or walk about the space, patterns in the background and foreground continuously converge and delaminate, warping visual perception and causing static surfaces to appear in flux.

The site is located at the corner of a large intersection in Cyberjaya and commands a sweeping presence at the corner of 2 large intersecting roads. The design intention and concept was to capture and address the prominent location of the site by designing a structure that would arc alongside the intersection and visually pull in the attention of the passerby into the building.
Memory
The rolling hills in the east of Chongqing have always been a remarkable landscape, but presented serious traffic problems then. The newly constructed roads in the past 20 years successfully negotiated their way through this area and met its residents’ traveling needs.
