Various Associates were approached by Wann to design their first gallery lounge of Shenzhen. Located in No.1 Shenzhen bay－the most potential area in China, the scheme comprises of the lounge area with meal, bar, and art gallery. Collaborating with local vendors and manufacturers, spatial-making was a central theme in ensuring that the final space was searching, the wonderland for the ‘alcohol lover’.

The project aims to compensate for what is a rather unfavorable access situation by means of outstanding living qualities. The building plots are situated within the second row of buildings on Waffenplatzstrasse, meaning that they are treated from their rearward aspects in terms of the building regulations. This, in turn, has a potential effect on the volume of the new building. Taking the building codes into account, in particular, the boundary and building setbacks result in a complex and versatile volume.

Located in shopping district in Seminyak-Bali, “Concept Store” is an example of using contrast to make the building stands out from the surrounding. The conventional shaped pitched roof is playfully reconfigured, composing sense of scale and dimensions to create a unique modern facade.
