Rem Koolhaas Featured on Electronica Band Tempers’ New Album

They say diversity is key for a strong portfolio. Now OMA‘s Rem Koolhaas can add “featured artist on a musical album” to his resume. New York-based duo Tempers, in collaboration with German artist Katja Eichinger, feature Koolhaas in a mall-themed concept album. Koolhaas was interviewed at KaDeWe, a department store in Berlin currently undergoing remodeling by OMA. The group then interspersed clips from that interview into their November 2018 album, titled “Junkspace” after Koolhaas’ 2001 essay about shopping malls and architecture.

Cerponzóns Football Field / Santos y Mera Arquitectos

In Chan do Monte, in the city of Pontevedra, there was an old football field made of earth, with all their facilities in a poor condition. It is a rural location, in the town of Cerponzóns, in a raised zone over the valley of the rivers Lérez and Rons, with good access from the national road and close to the city. The intervention aims to create a new artificial grass football field over the existing field and improve and increase the facilities with new buildings for the changing rooms, toilets, canteen, infirmary and a couple of warehouses, as well as a new lighting system for the football field.
