Kreuzberghof Front House / Nidus

March 19, 2026 Hadir Al Koshta 0

In Kaiserswerth, where courtyards have shaped the character of the town for centuries, the Kreuzberghof does not present itself as a solitary object but as a continuation of a typology. Between street and garden, an ensemble unfolds: the front house from the 1920s opposite the new timber courtyard house – in between a shared courtyard planted with perennials and covered in ivy, forming its own microclimate in summer, almost a small biotope.

March 19, 2026 Antonia Piñeiro 0

Concéntrico, the Spanish laboratory for urban innovation exploring new ways of inhabiting public space through temporary urban installations, presented the program for its upcoming edition on March 17th, along with its main lines of work for the 2025–2026 season. The festival invites architects, designers, artists, and researchers from different geographies to propose interventions that activate squares, streets, riverbanks, and vacant spaces in the city. This year’s edition includes the participation of Smiljan Radić, the recently awarded Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate, who will develop a light, foldable, and temporary structure built from industrial plastic fabrics following the concept of a “poor circus.” Another 26 teams, including three practices selected through the festival’s international open calls, will intervene in Logroño’s public space from June 18 to 23, 2026, with projects ranging from climate-responsive structures to ephemeral public space activations.

March 19, 2026 韩爽 - HAN Shuang 0

In February 2026, the “Echo of the ruins” Sound Museum was completed in Qingshuitan—this old industrial area which had lain silent for years. Free from the white cubes and glass display cases of traditional exhibition space. Instead, it is a structure that grows directly from the ruins. An open-air Museum built from every discarded brick and tile of the old factory buildings. It is an urban public space open to all, a place where people can enter, listen, and share their stories.

March 18, 2026 Miwa Negoro 0

The ST01 flagship store occupies the ground floor of a commercial building within a cluster of architectural material shops near Hakdong Station in Seoul. The term flagship refers not to size but to the place that most clearly represents a brand’s identity and standards. Although only 39 m², the store embodies ST01’s motto, Classic stone, nothing else, allowing stone to become the primary presence of the space.

The proposal is developed on two angular volumes, which open toward the landscape, executed in black concrete. They rest and unfold forcefully upon the earth, seeking to establish a new order in the place on which we are situated.
