The idea of a home in a large rectangular room isn’t appealing to us. The design evokes the iconic features of the familiar rooftop, veranda, screen, and garden, drawing inspiration from the existential era of architecture. A narrow walk from the front yard leads to the main door of the home, discreetly located behind the screen. Ascending the stairs, the living space is spacious, opening out to the backyard and the sky above.

Scarlet Pavilion is a lightweight, reversible hospitality project situated within the protected riverside corridor of the Perfume River in Hue, where strict regulations preserve the natural landscape. In this context, the project embraces these constraints as the foundation of its architectural identity. Designed as a second home and a boutique retreat for a young couple, the pavilion adopts a reversible system that can be assembled, disassembled, and returned to its original state, minimizing long-term impact on the site.

The Hopetoun is a showcase and an oasis. FGR’s signature design understatement sees the fully integrated design of calm exterior and lively, animated interiors. Liveability is the underlying driver in a design that moulds to the site and our clients’ lifestyle. The Hopetoun’s geometric form is one of ordered spatial clarity. FGR’s ambition for real generosity throughout combines commercial-grade components and scale matched with carefully nuanced, contemplative spaces. 

Located in Ascázubi, at the foot of Pambamarca Hill, the project originated as a refuge: a space for pause and contemplation for bike park users seeking shelter from the harsh Andean climate.

Ložionica’s revitalization project transforms Belgrade’s historic railway site through adaptive reuse and new structures, offering a unique mix of offices, public spaces, and cultural programs within a challenging urban context. The site represents a few of the remaining industrial heritage mementos of the Belgrade riverfront area, which has been undergoing significant urbanization over the past few decades. This led to the announcement of an open architectural competition in 2021 by the Office for IT and eGovernment of the Republic of Serbia and the national platform Serbia Creates, organized by the Association of Architects of Serbia. The brief asked for a new home for all creative industries to meet under one roof, a multifunctional open public space, and the addition of one new mixed-use office building.
